Hit points
The amount of hit points you have is how much damage you can take. If you reach 0 hit points, you become unconcius, until you get three succeeded death saves, you get three failed death saves, or you get healed by another person. If you take so much damage from one attack, that you drop to your hit points in the negative range, you die.
